When I’m coaching my soccer team I strategise the most effective ways to help individuals to perform at their peak, but within the context of a team game.
It’s no different in commerce. The individual has to work well but within the team environment. The individual computer has to function well but it is part of a larger network comprising of the IT system infrastructure. An individual software program only works when it is supported by hardware to drive it.
All things are part of a system and need to work towards common goals. When I implement IT systems, I’m always conscious of building a unified network where all parts are working synergistically.
This results in more effective operations and better bottom lines for businesses. Oh and goals in the back of the net!
